Gouds Plateel

Royal Goedewaagen’s Gouds Plateel collections consists of the high gloss finished stoneware of the Art Nouveau series ‘Laila’, the intriguing Art Nouveau edition ‘Fiore’, the elegant ‘Amata’ items in Art Nouveau and the Art Deco series ‘Iris’. Industrial design and handcraftsmanship are effectively combined in the artistic movements Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

These Gouds Plateel collections are created in limited editions of 999 pieces and are mainly hand-painted. Each piece is numbered, signed by the master painter and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. While appreciation is expected in these exclusive and unique collections as collectibles and future heirlooms, the greater value is to be found in the day to day enjoyment of these beautiful art works.

Gouds Plateel Amata
For this collection Sander Alblas got inspired by the Art Nouveau décor of the ‘Gebroeders Vet’ from Purmerend. Slim shapes mesh perfectly with the decorative Art Nouveau flower patterns in the ‘Amata’ collection.
Gouds Plateel Fiore
This ‘Fiore’ collection consists of slim, elegant models and decorations. Sander Alblas was inspired by porcelain masterpieces from the famous ‘Rozenburg’ collection assembled in the early 1900’s.
Gouds Plateel Iris
For this collection Auke Beikes got inspired by the pottery factory Zuid-Holland from the early 20’s and from there Auke developed the ideas which turned into the designs of the Iris collection.
Gouds Plateel Laila
For this collection Auke Beikes got inspired by high gloss Goudse décor designs. This high gloss Gouds Plateel has a traditional Art Nouveau Décor. Characteristic is the remarkable S-line dated from 1905.
