Slim shapes mesh perfectly with the decorative Art Nouveau flower patterns in the ‘Amata’ collection. In Latin Amata means ‘she who is loved’. In this collection (1999) eighteen different products are crafted in a traditional manner. For this collection Sander Alblas, one of the current Royal Goedewaagen’s designers, got inspired by the Art Nouveau décor of the ‘Gebroeders Vet’ from Purmerend (1902-1903). For the Amata collection new types of molds have been created, which go back to the production of the Gebroeders Vet and their later factory in Arnhem, called the Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek.
